Today we are going to plan a party for some guests from Tunisia and India. You have invited to your house some friends from Tunisia and India and would like to serve them some special traditional food from their country. These assignments may be completed in your homework book or on a separate piece of paper.

Task 1- Using the information you have researched from the past two days design a menu that would include at least three dishes from each country. Don’t forget to include a tasty dessert. Then you will write a paragraph explaining why you chose the dishes you picked. Think about choosing items you would like to try as well as having a balance of meat and vegetable dishes.

Task 2- Your second task is to draw a picture of your gathering. You must include at least four of your guests dressed in their traditional clothing which we have learned about in the lessons. You may look back at the images from the previous lessons to get some ideas for your drawing. Also include your food choices as it would be nice to see them as well. Remember to be neat and color them using what you have learned.

A group of people practising Tai-Chi (SIGHT) and moving along with the slow music (SOUND). There was a gentle breeze blowing at me (TOUCH) as I strolled along the dusty tracks (TOUCH). Leaves rustled (SOUND) above me and a lone bird was chirping (SOUND) nearby. I took a deep breath. The smell of morning dew (SMELL) made me feel relaxed and at peace.

SIGHT: leaves falling gently from the trees, children running, playing at the playground, people jogging, people cycling, people practicing Tai-Chi, people taking a leisurely stroll

SMELL: the smell of fresh air, the smell of morning dew, the fragrance of fresh flowers

SOUND: leaves rustling in the breeze, the gurgling of streams, the splashing of a fountain, a lone bird chirping, music from radios

TASTE: sweet, velvety ice cream

TOUCH: the breeze blowing gently at your face, the rough tree trunks, the dusty tracks, the sun shining on my skin
